Splits… because we’re all made of elastic right?!

Despite what you may be thinking, you do NOT have to be unusually stretchy to accomplish the splits! What you do need to have is patience and determination! Here are a few benefits of the splits that may help motivate you:

  • Improve and maintain joint health
  • Increase flexibility
  • Range of motion retention
  • Improve balance
  • Increases body awareness

We chose three different splits postures to work on – Standing Splits, Full Splits, Center Splits. We did a whole lot of hip opening, hamstring extension, and pranayama to support our bodies in deepening these postures!
