Do backbends intimidate you?
For most people, they do.. so what we focused on this week was making these shapes accessible for all bodies! Backbends are so magical for the body for many reasons… check out a few:
- Strengthen your back, shoulders, chest, and hips
- Lengthen the spine
- Increase flexibility and improve mobility
- Promote good posture
- Stretch the abdominal muscles
We chose three different backbends to focus on – Camel Pose, Full Wheel, Floor Bow. These three postures can be manipulated in so many ways to make them more accessible for different bodies and abilities! This is one of our favorite things to incorporate here at The Post!
