Khira was introduced to yoga over 20 years ago as a way to move through depression. After a few years of Ashtanga and multiple yoga injuries, she decided to find a new approach to her practice. Her first training was Hatha training with an Iyengar base, which helped her establish customized alignment and avoid injuries. Years later, she received a Yogic Arts Degree with Shiva Rea and her last training was a 300 hour Vinyasa, which dove deep into advanced poses, Hindu mythology, and Swara (an ancient vinyasa practice). Khira has taught at yoga teacher training centers and worldwide yoga retreats and resorts. She holds three different styles of yoga certificates and her classes are best described as a hybrid of them all. Her demos and attention to detail allows her to be a great teacher for beginners, yet she is also well-skilled to challenge the seasoned yogis.
